Our Story
Our journey began in Normanton as ADA Disability Services, created by two independent women with 25 years of experience between them. When one founder moved on from the business, Anita Adam continued leading the service and rebranded it as ADA Support Services to reflect a renewed focus on community and person-centred care.
We began ADA as a small, locally-run service, built on respect, understanding, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Our vision was simple: to break down barriers and make quality, person-centred care available close to home — support that listens, respects culture, and makes everyday life safer and more connected.
Although we remain a small, community-focused business, our work has been recognised on a larger scale.
Although we now operate as ADA Support Services, our work was recognised under our former name, ADA Disability Services, when we received the 2025 NAIDOC Service Provider of the Year Award.
Through everything, our purpose has stayed the same:
to help people live the fulfilling life they deserve, right here in their own community.
